Who are we?

Our zest for life, friendships, and motorcycles binds us together. We are a group of women who believe that you can have FUN while still riding safely. We love to help encourage other women to ride and new members are always welcomed into the group. We normally meet the 2nd Sunday of the month at 10am (12 noon Nov-Mar) at Riders Hill  located at 3003 Morrison Moore Parkway E., Dahlonega, GA 30533. Weather permitting we ride after every meeting. Our meetings are short and our rides usually last all day.

A little bit of history .... Georgia Mountain Riders began one cold Saturday morning in January 2001 when ten women responded to a flyer about a new women's motorcycle group forming in north Georgia.

To the right is a picture of the original charter members taken on that day. Many of the charter members are still with GMR today.

We were all strangers to each other then but that didn't last long! The love of riding on two wheels brought us together and continues to fuel our friendships.

The diversity of the group is large - we come from all types of backgrounds, occupations, and riding skills. We are not branded, we ride cruisers, sport bikes, sport tourers, trikes, scooters, and enduros.

We remember what it was like when we first joined the club and try to make new members feel right at home. If you are a women who loves the excitement and thrill of riding on two wheels you are encouraged to come to any of our meetings/rides and check us out.
